Man, I wish my hair looked like that in the morning.
Norah writing a note for a fictitious friend named, "Alecea" (the A is the E) Pretty good spelling though, I thought for sounding out and writing a made-up name for a made-up friend.
Walking down to the birthday party at Milano Pizza (which happens to be very, very close...). We decided to have Norah's party (with four friends and 2 cousins) at Milano, which offers a pizza-making party for this age. It was so, so fun and only 1 1/2 hours so perfect for this age. Every single kid (from 1 1/2 to 7) had a ball.
The Birthday girl, happy as can be!
Ever seen a cuter little guy??
Geordan, one of my favorite little boys
And his brother Rory, another one of my favorite boys ever. When we moved here, Kara was pregnant with Rory and it's surreal to see him, now, making a PIZZA at a birthday party!
Norah and her best friend Sebastian. I know, I hate when people say this about children and their friendships but part of me really does want them to grow up and get married.
Marko, Sebastian, Norah & Zoe
Our little chefs
Getting ready to roll out their dough balls!
Baby Rowan has arrived!
Simon is only 1 1/2 but he had so much fun doing this!
We shall call him Mr. Milano (not Hitler).
Rowan loves to play with his mom's hair and then he started to carry around a Barbie type mermaid doll to play with her hair! so stinkin' cute.
Norah & Lilia
Here they've already devoured the pizzas they each made (and they were impressive) and now they're on to ice cream.
I must warn you, you're about to see one of the best pictures I've ever taken - It's of Lilia, who has clearly shown us her powers of levitation. (I managed to catch them on camera).
Scroll down to be amazed:

Lilia drew Norah this picture and Lila's grandmother (who is from Croatia, side-fact) - MADE this play-dough for her and sent it along with Kirsten & Goran. Such a lovely woman.
My girl is FOUR!
Ope! There's Dad again....conked out.
Richie & Joanna came by, after the pizza-making-party and brought with them, edible bugs! (they found these at a market in the city) Joanna is holding a scorpion lolli-pop - which I might add, both Wayne AND Norah ate.
It's a long story but Wayne has been on a kick the last couple years saying the thing to invest in, is bug protein. I won't get into it here.........for so, so, so many reasons. He has a point (high protein, low environmental cost, low actual cost, etc. etc.) but still. There's also a full on TED Talk on the topic - a woman who makes bug flours and then makes baked goods out of the flours. So, no doubt he's onto something but first things first....and ewww.
Really good conversation pieces.
Then the wholllle lot of us made the walk to People's Park for the Farmer's Market.
Simon looooved Norah's rain boots and insisted on wearing them to the park (even though they're several years too big for him). Such a cutie.
And Lilia & Simon had so much fun together!
See what I mean about the marriage to Sebastian?? He made her this card!!
The most amazing little craft box from Sebastian - Norah and Sarah had so much fun with this. They were in a trance for nearly 2 hours.
Norah made this house, 100% by herself. She cut each piece of foam out and glued each piece. And created the little flower garden in front! Proud mommy.
