Dec. 13, 2011 - Norah's Kitchen, Trip to the Post, and Walk to Glasthule

Dublin Post Office: This I thought was so funny! It's hard to see but the one side says "DUBLIN ONLY" - the other: "ALL OTHER PLACES" haha! So, I had to mail a card to San Francisco (to Aunt Mary) and I assume I did the right thing by categorizing that as "ALL OTHER PLACES".  

 This is the town/village of Glasthule (Glas-HEEWWWLLL) It's so adorable! This is about a 20 minute walk, south of us.  Also, where our GP (doctor) is.

 The most adorable and quaint little cafe that you ever did see. This is in Glasthule across from the big Catholic Church. They had fantastic baked goods, amazing quiche and great coffee. (And after walking 20 minutes in sidways rain/snow we fell instantly in love)

 Walking back, here is the center of downtown Dun Laoghaire with some of the booths for the Christmas Festival. They're selling food, and Christmas gifts and there are always street performers playing music on this main road so the air is filled with music.

This is the road where we cut down from the main road to our street. Oh and look, wait, a dumpster was blown over by the WIND!! Yes, that's how windy it was and we'll be out in this until about May. In the background you can see my favorite boats. We look out at these from our living room and I just love these ones for some reason.

 

Usually its just the blue fishing boat which is so beautiful. (I really don't know why I like these so much)
