We took Norah's best little buddy to an indoor play place (awesome!) and then stopped in at Dundrum Town Centre (Dublin's version of an American mall). Loved it. We had such a great day with both girls. Norah kept saying, "Pretend we're a little family and this is my sister". (This girl, badly, badly, badly wants a sibling)
Another beautiful evening at Richie & Joanna's place.
New Year's Eve at our place - from our balcony we could watch the Dun Laoghaire fireworks show on the West Pier.
Why yes, we WERE awake at midnight. Surprisingly.
Taking the bus to the zoo (upper deck of the bus, coming into the center of Dublin on O'Connell Street)
Trip to the zoo with Nolan & Karen. I feel very conflicted about zoo trips because the animals in their tiny enclosures make me soooo sad but, at the same time, its something really fun for Norah to do. So far we've been once per year and I think that's all I can handle. The lovely part was walking through with Nolan & Karen & their sweetpea, Hannah.
Playground in the middle of the zoo?! Whaaa??
Hannah is 6 months and we just fawwwwn over her. She is so sweet. Here, Wayne was holding her for about 20 minutes and all she did was grab his scruffy face and rub her little face against his beard. We kept thinking it'd be way too scratchy for her but she loved it - it was like the beard put her into a baby-trance. And Wayne was in heeeavvven holding a little baby girl.
Wayne's happy but if I remember correctly, here Norah is yelling, "You're not my Father!".
Me: to the people walking past: "Yes he is... we are her parents...Norah GET over here"
(the pre-lunch behavior downturn)
And now I leave you with another gem from Norah-the-performer (Vickie, Trysh & Tara, you already heard this story). This girl makes us giggle so much. Wayne and Norah will always listen to music on the laptop (they type an artist into youtube and you can hear their full album). Well usually that's Fleet foxes, U2, The Who, Pearl Jam, etc. (Wayne stuff). Well one day a few months back, Norah asked for some "girl music". Wayne said he drew a blank and could only think of Katy Perry. So, now she loves Katy Perry and asks to hear these songs almost every night. Which I'm fine with, except for the song called "Legendary Lover" (which she's often singing at the grocery store - with me praying people can't understand the lyrics....), and the other one about some guy's "birthday suit". Come on Katy, some o' your fans are 3 year olds - keep it clean, would ya?? :)
(my phone was only allowing me to record in 20 second increments so here is the disjointed mash-up)

Recipe please for the miso/sesame/ginger dressing. I go to a little Japanese restaurant in London that my Japanese friend suggested and they serve this with their salad...I'm sure that's it. Please share!! I love it....and Norah's singing. WONDERFUL!
As you wish!

Here's what I said to my cousin, Aly, who also asked for it:
(I didn't have lime but added some lemon juice from the bottle. Also, the sesame seeds are not a deal-breaker if they're missing. I added them twice and didn't a third time and didn't notice all that much difference. I suppose they add a little texture and probably a subtle flavor but just to say, if you don't have 'em, don't worry).
