Well we made the move this last Friday and thanks to two good friends, Graham and Loren, we made the trip in 3 hours. We were almost all unpacked by that evening and I can say it was relatively painless. We are absolutely smitten with this place. I mean in love - as in we just can't wait to come home everyday.
Leaving our old place...
Norah, all packed up, contemplating leaving her first Irish home - where she grew from a wee 1 1/2 year old to a mature 2 1/2 year old woman.
Welcome to HARBOUR VIEW! (unlike Seattle, this is not the name of the Trauma Hospital - it's the best apartment complex in all of Dun Laoghaire!)
Norah's/Guest bathroom (again, our place has hardwoords, not this tile flooring)
First night in the apartment - End of moving day
We LOVE the kitchen!
And Norah really loves the bathtub.
Sleepy head at breakfast
Our Seattle neighborhood picture - accompanies us, everywhere we go.
Treasures and trinkets and cards and family
One of the first things I have to do in a new place is set up all the family photos.
Looking straight off the balcony to the hospital parking lot. There's Wayne and Norah 'scootering' - tryin' it out. At night, straight out above these building, you see the lights in Dublin City Centre. We can see the light on top of the Spire (400 feet tall) on O'Connell Street, which is pretty amazing.
Off balcony, to the right: Dun Laoghaire Harbour and Marina
Off balcony to the left, Hospital.
Entry way coming in front door.
Master bedroom (though ours has hardwood floors). Idential otherwise, minus bad-art.
We are so happy here! Tomorrow morning, Wayne's mom, Nana, arrives and we're counting down the minutes. We pick her up tomorrow morning and will have her for two full weeks! We feel like we have so much to show her, just in Dun Laoghaire, let alone in Dublin and the rest of the country. We plan to take one trip out FAR West, to Clifden, to stop in Galway, and of course, see all the sights in Dublin City. We can't wait to show her all our favorite spots and how incredibly beautiful this country is. I'll post pictures of our adventures so check back!

Congratulations on your new home! Looks beautiful. Have a wonderful visit with Wilma. Enjoy the time you have together. Praying for safe travels whereever you go. xo
Your apartment looks lovely - I feel like I am peeking in on an episode of International House Hunters. Enjoy your visit with Nana (also take advantage of her babysitting skills and go out as a couple sometime ;) ) Looking forward to seeing lots of pictures!
