See first blog post for explanation of PEPS group. These little cuties have been friends since they were 6 weeks old. (There are 6 total. Not sure why they're not in these shots)
Devon, Aine, and Norah
Back at Lincoln Park with Papa - beachcoming. My Dad's new apartment is close to this huge park in Seattle so we kept meeting here for picnics and playing on the beach.
Power stance.
Last night we had another great dinner at Uncle Dan's with Cousin Marty, Uncle Marko, Mimi, Marko, (James was on a business trip), Sarah, Megan, Catherine, Natalie
Little Marko, Auntie Sarah, Wayne, Norah, Auntie Mimi (7 months pregnant)
Norah loves swinging with her Papa (Alki Playground)
Papa/Dad, Norah and G
Papa and Norah were captains of the ship (Papa, really, climbed up to the top and sort of got stuck. He eventually made his swift escape down the slide. He's a good sport and a very good Papa for climbing all the way up.)
And we're over HOLLAND! (this was exciting because Wayne is Dutch, as you should know) =)
We'll visit Holland, next year, with Wayne's parents - but I still felt compelled to snap a picture from the airplane. This could very well be Eastern Washington, or Idaho, or Kansas....but it's not. It's Holland. De Nederlands.
Norah also feels good to be coming into Amsterdam. She kept saying/chanting "Are we going to dance in Amsterdam-ce?". Then she would wiggle her whole body. No idea where she got this idea, or phrase, from but she liked it.
And I had to take pictures of the Tulips for sale in the airport because I'm JUST that excited to be in Holland.
My mom loved Delft Blue things so I took some shots of these. Maybe she knew I was to marry a Dutchman. =)
We bought Norah the book in the middle. It's just a board-book with single words and pictures, in Dutch.
De Appleboom (The Apple Tree) etc. etc. =)
Dutch is so logical. You can really infer what the words mean.....NOT. Roerstaafjes (wooden stir 'stick') (like 'Staffs' maybe??)
Doing PRETTY good after 12 hours of flights and airport waiting.
Our Friend Graham picked us up from the Airport Shuttle and brought his new puppy Jimmy! He is so cute it's shocking and you can barely believe he's real. He's a Bichon Frise and Norah absolutely adores him. (she got to babysit him this week too!)
This is her the day after we got home. Too cool for school and ready to continue travelling.
