Week One in Seattle - West Seattle, PEPS, Suzy's House and Mimi's

Cafe Ladro - 2 blocks from Dad's new apartment!

Cousin Suzy's new house being built. This has been about a 3 year process but it's on the final leg. Landscaping done but house still has a way to go.
View out the back. Shed below houses the kayaks which Wayne took out with Uncle Nick.
 Living room still being built.

First PEPS meeting while back in Seattle. (Baby group - "Program for Early Parent Support" - started when they were all about 6 weeks old and the group has been meeting every two weeks, ever since)
Alex - mesmorized by the bubbles
Kai and his Momma with baby #2. Shannon and Rad are the first couple to have a second!

Whoever brought the bubble machine is pure genius.

Norah and Aine! (the only two girls in the group, the other 4 are boys)

Auntie Erin found the Dykstra park in Auburn!

Sadly, Norah really likes Papa's Vienna Sausages in a can...... I abhor this "food" but she insists on encouraging his habit of bringing these everywhere. =) Apparently toddlers and seniors like these tiny meat-tubes in a can.
 Yep, one can down.
 Watching the ferries go by.
Uncle Marko bought us this Obama bag and, of course, my Dad had his American Flag in the car so Sarah made Wayne pose with the bag, the flag and his green card. See, US Immigration?? He's a patriot, through and through!
Alki Beach on a Thursday afternoon. Don't any of these people have jobs? =)
Parents of the year: forgot our baby's hat so we had to tie Daddy's shirt around her head.

I love the way toddlers carry bags (arm straight up in the air to keep it on their shoulder).
These two: Drunk as a couple skunks. Milk and Corona.

 "Cheers Dad!"
 The good life
One of the best parks on earth. Ercolini Park in West Seattle.
Filled with these trikes and cars and bikes all left/donated by local families so the park is always stocked.
BBQ at Marissa's house.

Wayne's eyeing the stilts...
Didn't take long before he had his turn. Pretty good for wearing flip-flops too.
 Frannie's Art

This was SO incredible!! Frannie's project. This was something she created completely on her own, no school assignment. She just wanted to make a poster board about the amazing creatures that are: Vultures. I love this child. She's 11. (or is she 12 now?)
"Look around, you see pretty forests of green trees and fildes of wild flowers just waiting to be picked! You see moutins touching the sky and clouds floating through the sunny blue sky. What does this have to do with vultures you ask? Wait and see, you will be surprised!" (love her) It gets better, read the next one:
"Do you get it now?! They are like living vacume cleaners! They clean up our home and do they get any respect! No! We can help them by doing the things on the list."

 Manicures by Frances: Franicures
 Norah's 2nd nail-painting experience
 Even the boys lined up!
This kid.... (reading at Tully's. She could care less if we're around)
Mimi does not play around with smoothies.
Kale, Spinach, pineapple, strawberries, banana, blueberries, celery, beets, plums, orange, etc. etc.
Family walk/bike ride from Aunt Mimi's and Uncle James' place

Auntie Mimi bought this trike just for Norah while we were in Seattle. She found it at a garage sale and snapped it up for Norah!! Thank you Auntie Mimi!!
